The Cutest Cap!!

I have to share this: I just finished ordering a pattern for this cap, which I thought I would never find. One of my sons had one as a child and now I want to make him an adult one, along with one each for his sons. I love this site and thought some of you might be interested, too. Here’s a picture of the cap:

And here’s a link to the shop:

  1. Adorable cap… And I just love the Sew Liberated Blog as well! I’m glad I found your newest post in my reader today. I’ve been away from using the reader for quite a while and haven’t found the usual links from your comments on my blog back to yours. I had thought perhaps you were one of those commenters that doesn’t have a blog of her own. Anyway I’ve now clicked the box to subscribe to new posts by email! I really appreciate how thoughtful you are in your communication to me and am glad that it doesn’t need to be so one sided anymore. 🙂

    • I had no idea the links weren’t showing up, Karen. Wonder why not?? Anyway, you will always know it’s me ’cause I sign “~ Linne” at the end (usually, anyway – occasionally I may hit the post button too quickly). I love checking your blog to see what you’re up to. Glad you liked the cap post; I’m so looking forward to getting the pattern. Not that I don’t have lots of projects on the go and many more being planned . . . but that’s me – I could use a person who hates starting things, following just behind me, picking up whatever I’ve just put ‘on hold’ and finishing it for me . . . except I cherish the crazy idea that I will do all that myself, one day! Hope all is well with you and your family. I’ve been busy going through stuff I dumped on the floor of Mum’s second bedroom (which means neither of us could get in there since Christmas) and tackling the sorting of old paper stuff; good thing I did – I found a gift card (not dated, so still good!) from 2005 to Chapters/Indigo/Coles. It’s for $175, so you can imagine how excited I was to see it! It was a lovely going-away gift from people at one of my temp jobs years ago (well, nearly 8 years now!!). Sure gave me a boost, reading all the nice comments in the card that came with it. I’ve been a bit discouraged (actually, a lot discouraged) since being let go from my last work. But there’s a silver lining to everything; I’m still working toward opening my ETSY shop. I just have had a difficult time deciding what I could make well enough to market, and that would make some reasonable money. But it’s coming. I have no idea what the flowers will be; maybe a child’s quilt. I’d like to combine two old patterns (Grandmother’s Flower Garden – that uses the hexie flowers) and the Flying Geese pattern. I have had this pattern kicking around in my brain like an unborn child; I want it to be something like “the wild geese are in grandmother’s garden”. Ideas I’m good at; it’s completion I need to strengthen. Oh, well, it’s late and Mum will want her bedroom soon (where her computer is that I’m using – if that’s proper grammar). Thanks for the lovely notes. I’ll see you soon at the Haven. ~ Linne

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I look forward to reading your comments. ~ Linne
